2024-08-12 - West Side Theatre, 214 N. Main Ave., Scranton, PA 18504 1,975 seat theatre/auditorium in its heyday. Built by Comerford. Served as a Paramount Theatre for a while then returned to Comerford. Later, strictly a movie house. Not sure when the organ was removed. (Don't every remember seeing it as a child in the 1970's.) Theatre burned down in the mid 1980's. Only the front offices remained and are still in use as senior living. Area where the auditorium stood is an empty field.
