2004-10-30/2019-04-29 - From the OHS PC Database, derived from A Guide to North American Organbuilders, by David H. Fox (Organ Historical Society, 1991). Edited February 5, 2017, (Hall). - Alexander Elder was believed to be with Henry Erben firm's Baltimore, Maryland branch shop, c. 1850, as the manager, but this lacks definitive confirmation. Barbara Owen based this supposition on the inscriptions on pipes sent to the Baltimore plant from the voicers in New York ("for Mr. Elder", Mr. Elder' Organ, or "A. Elder"). He was active in 1850s.
