2015-09-20/2019-08-26 - From Organ Database Builders editor Stephen Hall, August 26, 2019. — Alphonse Gigout was with Casavant firm of Saint-Hyacinthe, Québec, Canada, c. 1903-1909, as a voicer. He had previously worked in France for Cavaille-Coll and Debierre. He was a brother of composer Eugene Gigout. An article will be published next fall [1998] in a Festschrift in memory of musicologist Lucien Poirier, who was director for my master dissertation at Laval University; I am responsible for the publication of this Festschrift in an issue of the Cahiers de la Societe quebecoise de recherche en musique.
