Maxfield in Maxfield & Harris of Los Angeles, California, 1897-1898; operated Murray M. Harris Organ Co. in Los Angeles, California, 1898-1903, succeeded by Los Angeles Art Organ Co.; investment broker, 1905-1906; resumed firm c. 1907-c. 1912; with Southern Music Co., 1913, salesman; broker, 1914; died 1922 during trip in Arizona.
