Fox (Richmond, Va.: Organ Historical Society, 1991). — Born c. 1800 in Massachusetts; father of Edwin Lafayette Holbrook, grandfather of Edwin Handel Holbrook, cousin of Josiah [Joseph?] Ware; operated bell foundry by 1820; partner of Josiah Ware in Holbrook & Ware of Medway, Massachusetts, 1837-1850, bells and chamber organs; retired 1871; died March 20, 1875 in East Medway, Massachusetts.
