Fox (Organ Historical Society, 1997). — With Aeolian-Votey* firm of New York City, New York, 1927, sales. *It is unsure what was meant here: Aeolian-Votey was located in Detroit, Michigan and Garwood, New Jersey, but not in New York City. The Aeolian Co. was located in New York City, 1877–1899 prior to its merger with the Votey Organ Co. of Detroit, Michigan, later relocating to Garwood, New Jersey. The company was reorganized as Aeolian-Votey of Garwood in 1927. Presumably, Hyman was the New York representative of Aeolian-Votey of Garwood, New Jersey. —Ed.
