His primary organ instructors were Julia Callaway and Dr. Stephen Hamilton. His work in organ building began with the service firm of Milnar Organ Co. of Eagleville, Tennessee (1983-1984) and then Randall Dyer & Associates of Jefferson City (1984-present).
