2018-05-07/2019-04-29 - From the OHS Database Builders Listing editor, December 30, 2016. - Felix Barckhoff [II] was one of the sons of Carl Barckhoff Sr. and his third wife, Lena Graber Barckhoff. He was named after his paternal grandfather, Felix Barckhoff [I], a German organbuilder who immigrated to the United States in 1865, and started the family firm in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Carl Sr. continued the family firm in Ohio, and later Virginia. Since Felix was still a minor when his father died, he may not have ever worked in the family firm.
