2004-10-30/2019-09-30 - From the OHS PC Database, derived from A Guide to North American Organbuilders, by David H. Fox (Richmond, Va.: Organ Historical Society, 1991). — Born 1838; son of George Krauss; with the family firm of Palm, Pennsylvania; died March 18, 1929 in Quakertown, Pennsylvania. Edwin was the fourth generation of organbuilders in the Krauss family, his great-grandfather, Baltzer built the first organ in the 1770s with the help of his sons, John and Andrew.
