La Marche, and the father of George E., Jr., Roby W. and Austin W. La Marche. He began with Herbert C. Harrison firm of Portland, Maine, 1902; with Hutchings firm of Massachusetts, 1902-1906; with University of Maine, 1906; with Austin firm of Hartford, Connecticut, in Atlanta, Georgia, and Chicago, Illinois, 1910-1916, erector; with Wangerin-Weickhardt firm of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, 1917; representative of Steere firm of Springfield, Massachusetts, in Chicago, 1918; established firm in Three Rivers, Michigan, 1916, listed 1917-1919; succeeded John W. Heaton of Chicago, 1920; partner with his brother, Ernest La Marche in La Marche Brothers of Chicago, 1918. Founder of Orgelectra Co., subsequently La Marche Manufacturing Co., makers of organ rectifiers; died 31 Mar. 1964. Patents held: Patent #1,669,254; May 8, 1928; valve action unit.
