Archie was the manager Cohen Shoe Store in Newburgh, and owned and operated Archie Shoe Plaza in New Windsor, New York. He also owned A & J Pipe & Reed Organ Service in New­burgh, with his late partner Joseph Corkedale. Archie was a past member of the Newburgh UNICO, National Organ Association,* and former member of Agudas Israel, Newburgh. *It is not known which professional organization this referred to, it might have been the American Institute of Organbuilders or the American Guild of Organists. —Ed.
