McCrary established McCrary Pipe Organ Service in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, in 1945 as an organ service firm. He operated the firm until his retirement (date unknown but after 1982) when his son, Mark L. McCrary took over the business. The firm was the Oklahoma sales and service representative for M.P. Möller, Inc. of Hagerstown, Maryland, until 1992 when the Moller firm went out of business. The firm continues to operate although in a very limited manner with Mark McCrary as the only employee.
