Fox (Richmond, Va.: Organ Historical Society, 1991). — Born 12 May 1880 in Überlingen, Germany; son of organ builder; arrived in the United States, 5 December 1910; with Wangerin-Weickhardt of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, [*1912?, see Ed. note below] from which he disassociated during the Depression [1930s]; active in Milwaukee until 1955; died 16 December, 1960 in St. Petersburg, Forida. Patent #1,519,623; December 16, 1924; electropneumatic valve. *1912 is the earliest that he could have been with Wangerin-Weickhardt as that was the year the company reorganized under that name, however, the firm was active as Hann-Wangerin-Weickhardt before that, so he could have started shortly after his arrival in 1910. —Ed.
