2004-10-30/2019-04-29 - From the OHS PC Database, derived from A Guide to North American Organbuilders, rev. ed., by David H. Fox (Richmond, Va.: Organ Historical Society, 1997). - Nectaire Beauregard was with the Casavant firm of Saint-Hyacinthe, Québec, Canada in the late 1800s; he died in 1900. The Beauregards trace their history in Quebec back to the 1600's, and members of the family were in the St. Hyacinthe region in the early 1800s. Nectaire appears to be the first to work with the Casavant firm, but several Beauregards worked with the firm during World War II and the the post war period. Nectaire may have been the ancestor of some of them. Source: Jeanne D-Aigle, L'histoire de Casavant Frères, 1880-1980 (Saint-Hyacinthe, Québec, Canada:Les Editions D-Aigle, 1988), 736.
