2004-10-30/2019-10-23 - From the OHS PC Database, derived from A Guide to North American Organbuilders, by David H. Fox (Richmond, Va.: Organ Historical Society, 1991). — Muller was born in November of 1852 in Germany, he immigrated to the United States in 1881. He worked at the Barckhoff firm of Salem, Ohio, for two years; before moving to New York City to join the Roosevelt firm, he became foreman of action department. After Frank Roosevelt closed the firm in 1893, Muller became a partner with another former Roosevelt employee, George Abel, in Müller & Abel of New York City, New York. The firm experienced involuntary bankruptcy in 1902 and closed the following year. Sources: American Art Journal February 3, 1894. Local directories for the place and time.
