2019-10-21/2019-10-21 - From Organ Database Builders editor Stephen Hall, October 20, 2019. — Bryant Gideon Parsons Jr. was born October 17, 1923 in Rochester, New York; he was the son of Bryant Gideon Parsons Sr. and Ruth Blood Parsons. He married Ester Bills, they had five children; Karen, Susan, Lynn, Richard, and Calvin. Bryant apprenticed with his father's firm; with further training at M. P. Möller firm of Hagerstown, Maryland, where he worked as an installer; in Penfield, New York. He was called to military service in World War II, he served in the United States Navy. He returned to the family firm following the war and, in 1954, he and his father incorporated as Bryant G. Parsons & Son, Inc. Bryant, Sr., retired circa 1960. Bryant Jr. continued the firm; when Bryant relocated to Houston, Texas, in 1979; the firm remained in New York where he was succeeded by his sons, Richard Bryant Parsons and Calvin Glenn Parsons. Bryant Parsons retired to Fort Myers, Florida, although he continued to spend time with his family in the Rochester area. He passed away February 6, 2016 at age 92. Sources: "Bryant G.
