2015-10-06/2019-10-22 - From the Builders editor, October 6, 2015. — The Peragallo Pipe Organ Company was founded in 1918 by John Peragallo Sr., who was an apprentice with the E.M. Skinner Organ Company. His son, John Peragallo Jr., a member of the American Guild of Organists, joined the company in 1949. John Jr. served as President for many years and completed instruments at St. John the Baptist Cathedral in Paterson, New Jersey, St. Philip the Apostle Church in Saddle Brook, New Jersey, St. Peter Church in Belleville, New Jersey and from 1993-1997 oversaw the refurbishment and care of the Kilgen Organs at St. Patrick's Cathedral in New York City. John Peragallo III and Frank Peragallo now head the company and are joined by their sons, Anthony and John IV. Curators of Radio City Music Hall and Columbia University's St. Paul Chapel. Recent new pipe organs for St. Joseph Co-Cathedral in Brooklyn, New York, The Presbyterian Church of the Covenant on 42nd Street New York, New York, Williamsburg United Methodist Church in Colonial Williamsburg, Virginia, and St. Francis Xavier Church in New York, New York.
