2019-10-24/2019-10-24 - From Organ Database Builders editor Stephen Hall, October 23, 2019. — Morgan Felds Pike earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in sculpture from the School for the Arts at Boston University in 1975. Until 1981 she was employed by C. B. Fisk, Inc., Pipe Organ Builders, in Gloucester, Massachusetts, as a cabinetmaker, designer draftsman, and sculptor. Self employed since 1981, she has designed and built nearly 40 commissions in wood, bronze, and stone. She has designed and hand carved sculptural facades for twenty-one pipe organs, many of which are monumental in scale. The largest of these commissions, for the forty foot high façade of the C. B. Fisk organ in Alumni Hall, Indiana University Bloomington, involved two years of work and included the carving of life-size male and female figures from solid blocks of walnut wood.
