2018-12-18/2019-02-11 - From Organ Database Builders editor Stephen Hall, July 15, 2018. - The full title of the patent is "Improvements in the Manufacture of Keyboards for Organs &c." The improvement is described as a change in the process whereby the notches in the natural keys to accommodate the sharps are cut before the ivory is glued to the natural key surface thus avoiding cutting the ivory and wood together which results in imperfections in the cut.
