Fox (Organ Historical Society, 1997). - Patrick Murphy was born in 1960 in Camden, New Jersey; he is a graduate of Ohio Wesleyan University in organ, 1983. He worked with Fred Sponsler of Philadelphia, 1976-1982, as part-time and full-time apprentice. He was then with Noack Organ Co. in Worcester, Massachusetts, for the summer of 1982; then with R. J. Brunner firm of Marietta, Pennsylvania, 1984-1986; and with Mudler-Hunter firm of Philadelphia, 1986-87. He established Patrick J. Murphy & Associates in Philadelphia, in 1987, the firm was relocated to Stowe, Pennsylvania in August of 1989; the firm is still active (October 2016).
