Stocking of Mansfield, Ohio taking possession under chattel mortage March 2nd, 1867. Z.S. Stocking sold to Warren Root March 15, 1867. Warren Root sold to John V. Cox,* October 11, 1867. Henry Pilcher & Wm. Pilcher filed petition in bankruptcy Sept. 26th, 1867. Discharge granted May 25th, 1868. Business continued by Henry & William Pilcher—retaining the firm name of Pilcher Brothers. *Cox was married to one of the Pilcher sisters. —Ed.
