Fox (Richmond, Va.: Organ Historical Society, 1991; rev. ed. 1997 with updated information). — Born September 30, 1821 in Bavaria; immigrated to the United States in 1839; In Cincinnati, Ohio, by 1856; with Matthias Schwab firm of Cincinnati, Ohio; with Johann Koehnken firm of Cincinnati, Ohio, 1860s; established his own firm in Covington, Kentucky, 1867; retired c. 1888; died January 19, 1905 in Covington, Kentucky.
