Notes

2004-10-30/2019-11-22 - From the OHS PC Database, derived from A Guide to North American Organbuilders, by David H. Fox (Richmond, Va.: Organ Historical Society, 1991). — With Jardine firm of New York City, New York, 30 years; partner with John Mantel in Scultetus & Mantel of New York City, New York, c. 1900; established his own firm in Corona, {New York City}, New York, 1899; that firm last listed in 1923. Sources: Piano and Organ Purchaser’s Guide, Purchaser’s Guide to the Music Industries, (New York: Music Trades). Stephen Pinel, "A Brief History of the Mohr Family: American Organbuilders and Technicians", The Tracker 29:2 (Richmond, Va.: Organ Historical Society, 1985), 24.

2015-10-16/2019-11-22 - From Organ Database Builders editor Stephen Hall, November 22, 2019. — The source Pinel, The Tracker 29:2 is odd, the only mention of "J. Scultetus" in the article is in the list of members of the Journeymen Church Organ Builders' Association for which Louis Mohr was secretary in 1898 and 1899; Scultetus is listed as a member in 1899. Yet the entry in Fox's Guide does not mention this.
