Notes

2004-10-30/2019-11-19 - From the OHS PC Database, derived from A Guide to North American Organbuilders, by David H. Fox (Richmond, Va.: Organ Historical Society, 1991). - With Aeolian Co. of Garwood, New Jersey, 18 years;* with Bennett Organ Co. of Rock Island, Illinois, 1924, voicer; operated Stannke Organ Co. of Rock Island, Illinois, early 20th century. *The Aeolian Co. was in Garwood, New Jersey from 1899 to 1927 when it was reorganized as Aeolian-Votey, this gives us a window when Stannke could have worked there. If he was in Illinois by 1924 and worked with Aeolian for 18 years, he would have had to have started between 1899 and 1906. —Ed. Sources: The Diapason, October 1924, 13.
