Fox (Richmond, Va.: Organ Historical Society, 1991). - Born in Northfield, Ohio; representative of Hutchings-Votey firm of Boston, Massachusetts; in Dayton, Ohio, 21 years; died 1923, age 62. The Hutchings-Votey firm was formed in 1901 and ceased operation in 1908, the 21 years could not refer to Stebbins length of time as their representative. Hutchings reformed his own company in 1909 (Hutchings Organ Co., Waltham Massachusetts) which continued until 1917, but it is not known if Stebbins continued as representative for the successor firm. -Ed.
