2004-10-30/2019-04-29 - Note from the OHS Database Builders Listing editor, July 25, 2016. - John Bishop apprenticed with Jan Leek of Oberlin, Ohio, begining in 1975.1 Mr. Bishop was with Angerstein & Associates(1983-1987) of Stoughton, Massachusetts, where he constructed keyboards. After the Angerstein firm closed, he did service work in Norwood, Massachusetts. He established the Bishop Organ Co. in North Reading, Massachusetts in 1987.2 Mr. Bishop is currently one of the principals of the Organ Clearing House in Cambridge, Massachusetts, having worked there since 2000. In 2005, the Bishop Organ Company was merged into the Organ Clearing House. In 2014, John and his wife, Wendy Strothman, moved to New York City, New York where they live in Greenwich Village.
