2004-10-30/2019-04-29 - From Builders editor, Stephen Hall, August 18, 2018. - Homer Blachard was born March 26, 1912 in Elyria, Ohio; he was a graduate of Ohio Wesleyan and Ohio State Universities. He taught languages at Geneva College and at the United States Naval Academy, 1937-1946, and German at Ohio Wesleyan University 1963-1977, he was Emeritus Professor thereafter. He was an assistant sales manager of the M. P. Möller Co. of Hagerstown, Maryland, after 1946; and was the northern Ohio representative of the Möller firm, 1952-1959. He operated his own firm in Oberlin, Ohio, 1954-1973. He was a founding member of the Organ Historical Society (OHS) in 1956, and is credited as the originator of the Society's name. He later served as archivist of the OHS collections (1966-1983). Homer Blachard died September 26, 1988, in Delaware, Ohio. Staff: Roger E. Davis; James Hammann; Randall Wagner.
