2004-10-30/2019-10-07 - From the OHS PC Database, derived from A Guide to North American Organbuilders, by David H. Fox (Richmond, Va.: Organ Historical Society, 1991). — Partnership of Fred C. Weickhardt with the Schaefer Organ Co. of Schlesingerville {now Slinger}, Wisconsin, 1924/1925; no instruments were built under this name; Schaefer Organ Co. continued thereafter.

2015-10-16/2019-10-07 - From Special Correspondent [sic] "Organ builder Paid in Goods" The Milwaukee Journal, March 8, 1970, via Google Newspapers, accessed Oct 16, 2015. — For a brief period in 1924 they merged with another firm in Milwaukee to form Weickhardt-Schaefer Organ company with the Milwaukee firm operating as a branch location, but the arrangement was short-lived, and the firm again became Schaefer Organ Co. with the Milwaukee branch closed.
