Joseph Attended Ohio State University; with /reuter firm of Lawrence, KS, 4 years; representative of the Reuter firm of Lawrence, KS, in Bellaire, FL, 1976; active 1993. [MU: Apr. 1976:32; Schmitt; SUP; TAO: Jan. 1985:49, Nov. 1993:53] The spelling "Wiessinger" (not "Weissinger") is attested in Fox's first source, MU: Apr. 1976:32, and, more recently, in Bill Zaferos, "Belleair collector’s antiques finding new homes — in museums," Tampa Bay Newspapers, https://www.tbnweekly.com/belleair_bee/article_bf1d4202-d8e1-11eb-bd32-1731e5fee06a.html: "Before Wiessinger became an antique collector, he developed an interest in pipe organs. His interest grew to the point where he taught himself how to play and he became the organist at a Lutheran church in Lima, Ohio. It was then that Wiessinger decided to move to Lawrence, Kansas, to work for the Reuter Pipe Organ company. Reuter later sent him to Florida to sell and maintain pipe organs and he has been here since 1976." -Jim Stettner
