Both were later with the James McFarland firm of Millersville, Pennsylvania, c. 1980. Alford attended the University of Central Florida in Orlando, Florida and did some service work in the central Florida area from late 1980 to 1982. Alford has been with Lewis and Hitchcock, Inc. of Richmond, Virginia since 1995, he and another long-time employee, DeWitt Long, became the owners in 2012.
