Zimmer & Sons of Charlotte, North Carolina; in 1988, he was the treasurer. In 1992, Cornel set out on his own and established Cornel Zimmer Organ Builders of Denver, North Carolina. While W. Zimmer & Sons continued to build all pipe instruments, Cornel Zimmer began to use digital voices to supplement pipe voices.
