Notes

2010-04-15/2019-02-11 - Note from the OHS PC Database. - Successor to John Leek Organ Co. The source for this note was not notated at the time of entry, but is presumed to be either James Cook or Elizabeth Towne Schmitt, the co-chairs of the database committee, 2005-2007. The Builders Listing was a reference tool for the editors at that time, it was not visible on the website. This entry would have been created when an organ by Leek Pipe Organ Co. was added to the website, and the note was simply a reminder to the editors that this company was a successor to John Leek's firm which was listed in A Guide to North American Organbuilders (David H. Fox, rev. ed., 1997) as John Leek (Organ Co.) However, Leek never did business under that fictitious name , he operated under his own name as John G.P. Leek according to Kayla Raville, spokesperson for Leek Pipe Organ Co. -Ed.
