Better Pipe Organ Database

Ken Garst

Notes

2010-04-15/2020-04-09 - From the OHS Database Builders Listing editor, September 30, 2016. — Ken Garst purchased salvageable portions of Hinners Opus 3037, which had been removed from Ascension Lutheran Church in Chicago, in order to construct a residence organ for himself. The organ had been stored in the church basement while renovation was being done in the upper level of the building. While in storage in the lower level, the console, blower and reservoir(s) were damaged by water and disposed of. Mr. Garst planned to combine the remaining portion of the Hinners organ with a console from Klann and new blower and reservoir to create his residence organ. We have no further records to indicate if the organ was completed. Source: Ken Garst, information sent to the Database in October, 2008.
