The OHS Database lists four organs built or rebuilt by the firm during the 1960s, all but one in Nebraska.1 The firm built an organ for Christ Lutheran Church in Norfolk, Nebraska in 1972.2 In 1967, the firm was engaged to remove, recompose/rebuild, and move a 1890 Wm Schulke (OHS Database ID 9069) from SS. Peter & Paul R.C. Church in Carroll, Iowa 51401 to a newly-formed church (the result of a church merger). The "new" organ was moved, literally, across the street and into a newly-constructed building known as Holy Spirit R.C. Church Carroll, Iowa 51401. The "new" organ is OHS Database ID 7438. 3 The 1997 edition of Fox's Guide has a cross-reference in brackets following the company name Neuman Organ Company: [see also Synder-Neuman.] There is no explanation or source for this note in the material, only the implication that Neuman Organ was a successor to Snyder-Neuman. –Ed.
