He operated his business as "Albert Bowders Pipe Organ Company" of Baltimore, Maryland for nearly 40 years. He learned the craft starting as a teen by working summers at M.P. Möller, Inc. where his father, Merle Bowders, also worked. Albert Bowders died Friday, September 15, 2017, at age 87. Born December 22, 1929 in Greencastle, PA, he was the son of the late Merle and Gladys (Wallech) Bowders. He married Hilda R. (Recard)) Bowders on October 25, 1953. The couple had two sons, Alan and Dennis. Alan continues to operate the family business. Albert Bowders was a 1948 graduate of Greencastle High School and was a US Army Veteran of the Korean War serving from 1951-1953. Albert attended the Trinity United Church of Christ of State Line.
