2018-05-07/2020-04-09 - From the OHS Database Builders Listing editor, August 22, 2016. — Born 1931, Melbourne Florida; Organist, moved and rebuilt Moller organ for St Mark's Presbyterian Church in Altamonte Springs, Florida under the direction of Charles McMannis. He attended Stetson University in DeLand, Florida before completing a music degree at Rollins College in Winter Park, Florida. After a stint in the Army, he studied at the School of Sacred Music at Union Theological Seminary in New York City, where he received a master's degree in 1958. Also a vocalist, Mauk both played the organ and sang in the New York area. During his long career, he served as organist, music director and choral director at churches in South Carolina, North Carolina and Missouri. He also was an organist and choral director at Missouri Military Academy in Mexico, Missouri, and was a faculty member at Wayne Community College in Goldsboro, North Carolina.
