2018-05-07/2019-02-11 - From the OHS Database Builders Listing editor, June 4, 2016. - Wilson R. Barry (June 26, 1925 - March 24, 2012) was a master builder of both organs and harpsichords. He attended Colby College, Kalamazoo College and Westminster Choir College.1 Barry started with Chester Raymond of Princeton, New Jersey, circa 1950. He was with Tellers Organ Co. of Erie, Pennsylvania in the 1950s until circa 1963, when he moved to the Andover Organ Co. of Methuen, Massachusetts. He established his own firm in Andover, Massachusetts, in 1966 as Wilson R. Barry & Co. building organs and harpsichords. The firm was relocated to Exeter, New Hampshire, in 1987. He also served as organist and choir director of many churches, most recently at the First Baptist Church in Exeter, New Hampshire, until his retirement in 19931.
