2018-05-07/2019-02-05 - From the OHS Database Builders Listing editor, January 14, 2017. — The van den Heuvel Orgelbouw was established in 1967 by Jan van den Heuvel in Dordrescht, The Netherlands. Despite being trained in the neo-Baroque style of the Flentrop firm, ven den Huevel was determined to build organs in the symphonic style. He and his brother, Peter, studied the organs of 19th century organbuilder, Aristide Cavaillé-Coll for inspiration. They build most of their organs using mechanical key action, but with electrical stop action to facilitate quick changes in registration. Special emphasis is placed on voicing, and tonal finishing.
