2004-10-30/2019-04-29 - From the OHS PC Database, derived from A Guide to North American Organbuilders, by David H. Fox (Richmond, Va.: Organ Historical Society, 1991). - Eugen Braun was born 1872 in Laidingen, Germany; he was in Oslo, Norway, c. 1918; then immigrated to the United States in 1921. He worked with Kilgen firm of St. Louis, Missouri, as a flue voicer; then with the Aeolian Co. of Garwood, New Jersey. He was with the Hall Organ Co. of West Haven, Connecticut, working there for two years. Braun retired in 1941; he died November 16 , 1949 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
