2017-05-07 - Updated through information from Fr. Connor Haynes -- It does appear that an organ was installed at St. Mary's in 1820. However, I understand from other sources that George Jardine did not relocate from England to the United States until 1836 or 1837. So-- it appears that St. Mary's 1820 instrument could not have been a Jardine. [Ed. Note: The organ was previously identified as having been built by Jardine & Son. That firm name was not in use until after 1855, so the attribution of this instrument was doubly faulty.] -Database Manager
