2010-12-05 - Updated through online information from T. Bradford Willis, DDS. -- The following article appeared in the Aug. 20, 1889 issue of the Fort Worth Daily Gazette: " A SPLENDID INSTRUMENT. The Great Pipe Organ Built for the First Baptist Church at this Place. The grand pipe organ, built especially for the First Baptist church of Fort Worth, arrived in the city several days ago, and the work of setting it up will begin today. The organ is not only a magnificent musical instrument, it is also a handsome and ornate piece of furniture. The last issue of the Musical Courier contains the following notice of this instrument: A large two manual organ for the First Baptist church, Fort Worth, Tex., has been completed by Geo. Jardine & Son...." -Database Manager
