Notes

2004-10-30 - With a new Organ, by the Messrs. Hook of Boston -Database Manager

2023-04-19 - St. Paul's claims to have the best quartette choir in the city. It has always made that style of music a specialty. At present the quartette consists of Mrs. Laithe, soprano,. Miss Swartwout, alto, L.A. Rousseau, tenor, Mr. Chase, basso. Mr. J.G. White, who long filled the latter position, has recently left it, and Mrs. Roberts, for many years the alto, died about a year ago. Otherwise, the choir is a permanent institution. The organ is a very nice one, three-banked, built by Hook in 1854, with thirty-eight stops. Mr. H.S. Church is the organist. --"Church Music," *Troy Daily Times*, 13:219 (Mar. 11, 1865), 3. [reprinted in the *2006 OHS Organ Atlas*] -Paul R. Marchesano
