2019-12-11 - From the NYC AGO NYC Organ Project: The original organ in the second church was built in 1890 by Frank Roosevelt of New York City. Below are the specifications of this organ, as recorded by Lynnwood Farnam (1885-1930), noted concert organist of the early 20th century. Unusually, Farnam did not indicate the manual and pedal compasses for this instrument, but he noted it was "Re-built with electro-pneumatic action by Geo. Jardine. 1887 [sic] (No. 1234)." It seems likely that Farnam meant to type 1897. Mr. Farnam's journals are in the collection of The Curtis Institute of Music in Philadelphia. -Database Manager
