"One of the prominant features of the interior is THE ORGAN This splendid instrument stands in an arche recess on the south side of the chancel. It front extends some distance beyond the recess. It is 28 feet high, 10 feet 4 inches deep, and 16 feet wide. Its case is 30 feet high, 12-1/2 feet wide, and composed of dar walnut and bay wood, handsomely carved and ornamented. There are in it of various kinds of lumber some 15,000 feet, and if material 2 tons. It was built by John Roberts of Frankford, Philadelphia. It contains four separate and independent organ, three of which are played by the hands and one by the feet. The pedal organ is unusually complete and forms a desireable appendage to any organ of merit." -Steven Bartley
