NOTES
The organ was completed for the church in the same year in which the main sanctuary
was completed – 1890. The approximate cost was $10,000.00, and the organ was the
largest in the State of Oregon at the time.

The case was made of cherry to match the church interior. The essentially 3-sectional
facade contained 35 pipes arranged as follows: 9 – 3 – 11 – 3 – 9. Between each of the
three main sections was a small tower holding the 3 pipes. The facade contained pipes
from the Great 16' Contra Diapason and 8' Open Diapason.

The Choir 8' Quintadena was grooved to the bass of the 8' Melodia for its bottom octave.

The couplers were also activated by means of pneumatic pistons set into the manual key
slips.
