2004-10-30 - In new building. Building sold in 1975 to St. Stephen's Missionary Baptist. The organ was moved to residence of David L. Hamblin, Jr., Chicago Heights (or Lansing?), IL. His home burned while the organ was being installed in 1999. -Database Manager
2006-04-15 - Updated through information adapted from E. M. Skinner/Aeolian-Skinner Opus List, by Sand Lawn and Allen Kinzey (Organ Historical Society, 1997), and included here through the kind permission of Sand Lawn:
Founded as City Methodist Episcopal; name changed in 1926 when new building was built; church closed January 3, 1975 and organ moved to residence of David L. Hamblin, Jr., Lansing, Illinois. -Database Manager
2011-05-13 - Updated through on-line information from William Dunklin. -- Building damaged by fire 1997, now abandoned. -Database Manager
2011-05-25 - Updated through online information from Lindsay Earl Paulk. -- The congregation abandoned the building in 1973. The church itself is on its last leg and will not last another 10 years. It is really a pity for such a beautiful building to come to such a sad end. The location of the Skinner Organ is not known. I do know it was removed from the church -Database Manager
