2022-05-03 - On the church's 75th anniversary in 1940, an electrified Estey reed organ replaced the old one. In 1957, when the Marion Universalist Church was closed and sold to the Art Center, its organ was given to the Methodists. "Mr. Cudworth was hired to supervise the work, assisted by the men of the church. The instrument was dismantled and the parts carried to the church; the electric organ was moved to the back of the sanctuary and there was no disruption of services while the men assembled the several parts in their new home. An electric motor and blower were bought to replace the old hand pump and small boy. Another milestone." -- *2005 OHS Handbook* -Paul R. Marchesano
