2022-10-10 - This is an interesting installation. I visited the church in the 1970s and was given a tour of the chambers by the organist Wallace Van Lear. The Swell, Choir and the Pedal 16' Diapason and Bourdon are located in the chamber with the facade pipes to the left of the chancel. The building has a large central tower over the crossing of the trancepts and the Great and Solo divisions are located in the ceiling of the crossing under the floor of the tower. The chambers are accessed by going up into the tower via a stairway behind & above the chancel area and then descending via a trap door. As noted, the Great and Solo divisions are located on one side of the peak and across on the other side of the peak is the 16' Trombone with the 8' Tromba extension - - 44 pipes. The Echo division is located in the balcony at the rear of the sanctuary. -Douglas W Craw
