Notes

2022-01-16 - This instrument was very likely sold to St. Paul's Anglican Church in Waterloo (now Fort Erie), Ontario, sometime after the new 1829 Erben organ was installed. From *The First 150 Years of St. Paul's Anglican Church*: "The deeds for this plot of land purchased in 1821 mention the existence of a building already on the site, so it is presumed that this was used for worship services until the first church was erected three years later, in 1824. Built of wood, it stood on a foundation of stones brought from the Old Fort, permission for the use of these stones being granted by the Lieutenant Governor of Upper Canada at the request of Colonel James Kerby. An influential figure in the Village at this time, the Colonel's help in establishing this first church cannot be fully underestimated. We know that he was also instrumental in bringing the first organ, duty-free, from Buffalo ..." -Andrew E Henderson

2022-01-18 - Correcting builder name. Hall & Erben built a 1 manual organ that was likely relocated to Ontario when a larger Erben organ was purchased in 1829. -Andrew Henderson
