Notes

2004-10-30 - In a new building. Half the cost paid by Andrew Carnegie. Now UCC. The congregation is now at 707 N. Ohio St. in 1955 building. -Database Manager

2010-04-14 - Updated through online information from R. Joseph Wiessinger. -- My grandfather was the minister of this church from about 1911 until about the later 40s. The organ had been removed by at least 1944 when I was born. It was replaced with a Hammond. The old building was torn down in the early 50s and a new building built in 1953 or so. A 3/21 Möller was installed in about 1981 -Database Manager

2019-05-15 - Updated by R. Joseph Wiessinger

The organ facade shown in the picture was retained after the rest of the organ was removed. Strangely, the Hammond B model was installed in the balcony and I presume the speaker(s) was/were located behind the facade. When the building was torn down, the facade was destroyed also. The reason given for removing the pipe organ was that it caused all kinds of problems with ciphers, etc. So, instead of repairing, it was removed. Possibly a wild guess it was a Votteler-Hettche based on other V-H facades in neighboring towns. -Database Manager
